We believe fitness should be holistic, fun, and individualized.

We pride ourselves on being a small gym, which allows us to know every name and face, every individual's goals and needs, and therefore are able to provide a tailored workout, even in our group settings.

We strive to make Renovo more of a community than a gym, and want everyone to feel welcome and wanted here.

Our on-site massage room offers a nice relief from the sore muscles that often accompany working out! Massage therapist Angie Sharp offers a wide variety of services including Swedish massage, CranioSacral Therapy, and RainDrop Therapy. Visit her site for details!

Meet the Trainers

Eric Doernhoefer

Co-owner + Head Personal Trainer

Eric, co-founder of Renovo Fitness, has been passionate and involved in athletics since childhood. A collegiate soccer player, Eric earned his degree in Kinesiology alongside friend, teammate, and future co-founder, Bear, Eric established himself back home in Ohio where he received his training accreditation from the ACSM. Eric continues to increase his skillset, acquiring further certifications in Neurotype Training and Post Rehab Strengthening.  In 2020, Eric decided to compete in his Men's Physique where he won his ProCard from the Professional Natural Bodybuilding Association (PNBA). Eric has worked with clients of all levels, from individuals new to exercise all the way up to performance and Tactical athletes.  Now that he has rounded out the Renovo team by including his sister, Liz, he is dedicated to a new and fresh approach to wellness. Eric is very excited to share the Renovo way of health and fitness with central Ohio.

Shannon Sparks

Trainer

Shannon has spent the majority of her career in Corporate Legal after becoming an Ohio State Bar Association board certified paralegal.  After her first two children, she fell prey to poor eating habits with minimal to no activity.  The lack of a healthy lifestyle resulted in low self esteem for Shannon which served as the catalysts to motivate her to make a change.  Taking what she had learned from her previous pregnancies and, looking to the future, she opted for her third and fourth pregnancies to prioritize health and fitness.  Finding it difficult to maintain cardio, Shannon discovered strength trainer for women from fitness trainer Jamie Eason.  This transformed Shannon's workouts into a combination of circuit, HIIT, and strength training.  She has found joy and empowerment through this holistic training approach which shines through in her workouts and programming!

Liz Doernhoefer

Manager + Trainer

Liz took the long way around to get to Renovo Fitness. Liz graduated with a degree in Economics from Colorado College where she played rugby and minored in Human Biology. After a brief stint working in Human Resources, she was convinced to join the Renovo family as the resident accountant/financial planner/HR department. Unable to resist the excitement of personal training and her own love of lifting heavy weights, she went on to receive her Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification (C.S.C.S.) from the NSCA and has been helping out on the gym floor ever since!
